Mattock close to Everton move

The Sun reports today that City defender Joe Mattock is close to a £ 2 million move to Everton. The England U.21 international could follow in something looking like a massive player escape from the club.

Mattock, Leicester born and only 18 years of age, is in line for a move to Everton. The young and promising defender is set to sign for Everton before the end of the week.

David Moyes is eager to sign Mattock, to avoid him for being snapped up by neighbour Liverpool. Benitez and Liverpool have earlier been linked with Mattock.

There are no special news about new signings.

Hartlepool and Derby defenders Michael Dobson and Darren Moore are both linked with a move to City, but that is at the moment only rumours.

The fact that City have placed a £ 1 million bid for Birmingham forward Cameron Jerome is also only speculations.

Fans are nervous about the current situation, but let's keep the faith and hope that Mandaric and Pearson knows how to handle the situation and manage to bring in the players needed to go for a promotion spot.
