Foxes all around,
Heskey on the bench
New and fresh update
from the world of former foxes
THE CUNNING FOX,
26.08.2009
Emile Heskey
was on the bench when Aston Villa defeated Liverpool away on Monday.
A fantastic win for former Leicester City manager Martin O'Neill.
Heskey came on late in the 2nd half and helped his Villa to a great
triumph.
Wolves and former fox Richard Stearman has had an ok start to
the season. Stearman has played in all the Premier League games, but
never left the bench in the Carling Cup clash with Swindon.
Lilian Nalis is back in France and will play for Corsica club
Bastia this season. Keith Gillespie left Bradford after last
season and is now back in Northern Ireland with Glentoran.
Richard Cresswell is a bit in and out at Stoke with stiff
competition up front at Britannia Stadium. Marcus Bent has
found it difficult to get a place in the Birmingham squad this
season and could leave before the transfer window close.
Pat Kisnorbo has done well at his new club Leeds and former
City favourite and now manager at Leeds, Simon Grayson must
be delighted with a great start both in the League and the Carling
Cup.
Tom Cleverley was on the field for Watford when Leeds
defeated them in the 2nd round of the Carling Cup. Cleverley scored
in the League Championship clash with Blackpool and helped his side
to a draw.
Gareth McAuley and Damien Delaney are both involved at
Ipswich, and so far things have not started well. They only have one
single point after four Championship games. They also went out of
the Carling Cup after a 1-2 defeat against Peterborough.
Robbie Savage is back in the Derby team, after a difficult
last season. He has played all Derby's games this season.
Micky Adams and his Port Vale has done well and reached the
third round of the Carling Cup. First it was Sheffield United who
had to surender, then Sheffield Wednesday experienced the same.
Former fox Louis Dodds is a member of the Port Vale squad.
Russell Hoult and Jamie Clapham are two former foxes
currently with Notts County. Hoult has been in goal for the Magpies
before Kasper Schmeichel arrived at Meadow Lane, and him and Clapham
have experienced a great start to the season.
James Scowcroft has been on the field in all four league
games for Leyton Orient, but not yet scored. Matt Heath has
played all the Southend games from start this season.
Aman Verma and Harry Worley, both on loan at Crewe,
has started three of the games for the Railwaymen. |
