Gallagher needs striker
role

TCF has earlier
critisised the use of Paul Gallagher. He played up front in his
debut against Barnsley, but this was just as a cover for the
prefered Steve Howard.
Howard was City's best players last season and his start to the
09-10 season has been brilliant. The signing of Gallagher looks to
TCF as a cover fo the duo Fryatt and Howard.
Gallagher himself knows his best position and that is not on the
flank. He is a proven goalscorer and Pearson must decide how to get
the best out of his £ 1 million man.
Gallagher must be riddled with the current use of him, on the flank.
Pearson knows that all strikers will be needed as the season goes
along, and Fryatt, Gallagher and Howard are all good players at this
level.
The fact that Nigel Pearson overlooks DJ Campbell is just stupid.
The player has shown in the reserves and out on loan that he knows
how to score goals.
The fact that Pearson goes out and buys a new forward when he has
Campbell in the squad makes little sence and to sign Gallagher which
will not be certain for a place in the first team makes it even more
strange.
Gallagher are in TCF's opinion fighting with Martyn Waghorn and Yann
Kermargant to be fourth choice up front and a bit behind in the quew
for places. To play him on the flank is not the best decission made
by Pearson. |
