Peterborough preview
We need a new win, simply because we are playing at home

THE CUNNING FOX, 13.09.2009

Peterborugh will visit City on Tuesday and we simply have to win, because we are at home. To be able to fight in the top half of this division you need to win games at home.

Our defence must be one of the best in the division, and they are a tight unit. Hobbs has taken the level of Championship football well, Neilson are on the right track, with Berner and Brown used to this from the past.

Wellens has spent most of his playing career in smaller clubs such as Blackpool, Oldham and Doncaster. The way he is playing, you would wonder why this player is not a regular in a Premier League team.

Peterbrough manager Darren Ferguson is a "cunning fox" and he knows how to build football teams. His work at London Road must be regarded as "top quality".

He has promoted the club twice in two seasons and some of his signings are fantastic. We just have to hope that Pearson and his men stays focused and manage to win this game.

Hopefully he will be able to play the team he used against Blackpool. Pearson has seen that Gallagher and King are not flank players and the use of Dyer, N'Guessan or Adams is needed to keep the team in balance with flank players that can go forward, are used to their positions, and at the same time work hard both in defence and attack.

The key for City will of course again be our defensive skills, Wellens creativity and Howard and Fryatt's partnership up front. If this works we are on the road to three new points.
