THE CUNNING FOX,

Ade Akinbiyi
(34) has joined Notts County. The former City player, who cost the
club £ 5 500 000 back in 2000, has been at a number of clubs, and
was before joining County at Houston in the US.
The fee Peter Taylor paid for Akinbiyi is still City's record
signing. Back then it was a big fee to pay for a player that had not
yet made it at Premier League level.
Akinbiyi has since leaving Leicester City in 2002 played for Crystal
Palace, Stoke, Sheffield United, Burnley (twice) and Houston. He has
been a hit at Championship level and will probably be a good adition
to Notts County.
Who would have thought that Sven Goran Eriksson would sign up Ade
Akinbiyi.
