Newcastle game brings hope and promise
The new year started one month late, hopefully it will continue in a positive way

THE CUNNING FOX, 31.01.2010

Despite having to play the game with 10 against 11 for an hour, it was encouriging to see how we can fight for points. Let's hope that City can manage to get their form back on winning ways

We started the season with wins against Barnsley and Swansea a draw away to Ipswich and a defeat away to Newcastle. We had picked up 7 points from our first four games. These games have given us only 2 points after four games, and hopefully the point earned against Newcastle will be a kick start to the season.

Bruno Berner was back in the line-up after a troubled month with injuries. We also had Brown and Morrison playing to their best, so the defence is working ok.

Nigel Pearson has struggled to find a scoring combination up front, with Fryatt, Howard, Waghorn, Kermorgant and Gallagher all being switched from game to game. Not a healty situation.

Wigan are linked with Matty Fryatt and some websites suggests that Jason Scotland could go the opposite way as part of a deal. Scotland is a proven goalscorer at Championship level and his name is certainly not the worst we have heard.

Leicester hopefully will manage to get something out of their next four games. The two away games against Doncaster and Cardiff will hopefully bring us closer to the play-off zone and it should in reach.

Here are the next games coming up

06.02.2010 - Blackpool (away)
09.02.2010 - Doncaster (home)
13.02.2010 - Scunthorpe (home)
16.02.2010 - Bristol City (away)
20.02.2010 - Plymouth (away)
23.02.2010 - Doncaster (away)
