Blackpool win makes you
start believe again
Play-off hope still
in realistic
THE CUNNING FOX,
07.02.2010
A bad start
to the season has over the last two games made it possible to hope
for a place in the play-off's. The win against Blackpool and the
draw against Newcastle are fantastic
There are still a lot to play for before the season is finished, but
the last two games makes us all believe that the Premier League
could be in reach, after six years in the wilderness.
Nigel Pearson has been experimented a bit over the last three or
four games and some of his team selections has been for many
difficult to understand.
Paul Gallagher is a gifted player with Premier League qualities, but
so far he has mostly been played out of his best position, which is
as a forward in partnership with another, or just behind the top
forward.
Gallagher has shown that he can play both at the right and left
flank and done ok in both positions. The fact that Pearson has
rotated a lot, makes you uncertain of the outcome.
The return of Bruno Berner is of course very important. Ryan
McGivern has not managed to replace Berner when he has been injured,
but hopefully Berner will manage to stay injury free for the rest of
the season.
Wayne Brown has done fantastic and he has been back to his best in
the games against Newcastle and Blackpool. Let's hope that he will
continue to show class.
Matt Oakley, Andy King and Richie Wellens are all playing well, and
the trio has the qualities to play in the Premier League. Oakley and
King did well against Blackpool and shows that they can managed
without Wellens, which is a great strength for the team.
There has been a number of changes up front with a rotation of five
players. TCF would like to see Matty Fryatt in a consistant
relationship with one other player. Steve Howard has more or less
been left on the bench, but would prefer to see him up front instead
of young Waghorn.
Let's hope that Pearson can find the right blend and keep the team
rolling. |
