Levein return ?
Paul Gallagher could
bring Craig back to Leicester
THE CUNNING FOX,
08.03.2010
Former City
manager Craig Levein could return to Leicester for the game against
Cardiff just to watch Paul Gallagher. Gallagher could be ready for a
full international call up.
There are few strikers for Levein to chose from and Paul
Gallagher could be an alternitve for him, despite seeing other
players getting the call for the first game against the Czech
Republic.
Craig managed to win his first game as the national coach of
Scotland and it was without any former or current foxes in the
line-up.
Paul is now a certainty in City's first team and after Matty
Fryatt's injury we are all depended on Gallagher's abillity to score
goals. His hat trick against Scunthorpe has lifted a number of eye
brows in the footballing world.
Craig Levein had been a very successfull manager at Hearts when
Leicester managed to convince him to join the club, after
recomendations from Martin O'Neill. Levein took over from Micky
Adams and had a difficult job in front of him.
He didn't have cash to spend and had to deal and wheale on a
shoestring of a budget, and in a way failed, despite bringing in
players that later blossomed in the City shirt.
Players such as Iain Hume, Matty Fryatt and Patrick Kisnorbo were
all brought in by Levein as more or less unknown faces and has since
managed to get a good career at Leicester, Barnsley and Leeds.
Richard Stearman was also a player that established himself in the
first team in that period and later was sold to Wolves for a big fee.
Levein revealed during the press conferance in front of the Czech
Republic game that he had been in England and watched games in the
Championship and had visited The Hawthorns a number of times to
check out on midfielder Greame Dorrans.
Dorrans (22) was picked for the friendly against the Czech's and
maybe Paul Gallagher will be in the next squad, and we hope that
Levein will come back to Leicester to watch one of the most exciting
players in the Championship.
Give Craig a worm welcome if he decides to return to watch our new
"star".
