Adams linked with Brentford, latest transfer rumours

Nicky Adams has today been linked with a move away from the club, with Brentford the favourites to sign the former Wales U.21 international. Adams is a fringe player at Leicester and was loaned out to Leyton Orient last season, where he impressed at League 1 level

Some players will leave the club with Adams and Oakley both likely to find new clubs this summer. Steve Howard has also been linked with a move to Cardiff, but so far nothing has happened.

Nigel Pearson had, before his departure, started talks with a number of candidates. One of them was believed to be James Harper. Harper is routined midfielder with more than 400 league appearances for Reading and Sheffield United.

Two other players that has been linked with the club are Arsenal youngster Jay Simpson and Liverpool wonder kid Stephen Darby. Darby is a right back that has played at England U.19 level and impressed while on loan at Swindon last season. Jay Simpson is a young flank midfielder who has shown on loan at QPR, Millwall and WBA that he has the level needed to be a good player at Championship level

With the current uncertainty around the management position at City, it could be that everything again is in open air. All of these three players would have been interesting names.
