News Bulletin: investors,
pre-season camp and rumours
A new week is
here and we have put together a new news bulletin that hopefully
will give you the
full view on all that happens in and around the club
Pre-season
Leicester City flew out to Slovenia today and will be there for a
couple of days to prepare and of course give Paulo Sousa a chance to
take a close look on what he got and what he needs for the next
season. There is no secret that Sousa will prepare a team that will
go for promotion. To manage that we all know that a number of
changes must come in place.
Investors and a possible takeover
Leicester City CEO Lee Hoos denies the fact that the club can be
taken over as early as this week. A supposed Indonesian investment
group could be in line to take over, according to website foxes
online. All the news about a possible takeover or more investors
coming in, makes everyone excited and hopefully it can bring in more
cash to buy more quality. We all know what Leicester fans would
like, to get back to the Premier League and stay there for good.
Hot, cool and cold rumours
Leicester have so far added Tom Kennedy and Miguel Vitor to their
squad. Both players looks certain to contribute next season. A
number of names are now linked with City.
Barnsley midfielder Hugo Colace is a name that frequently turns up
on a number of transfer rumour websites. Swansea midfielder Darren
Pratley is another name. Both players are top quality at this level
and would be great additions.
Andrea Orlandi is also linked with a move to Leicester. The Swansea
winger is currently out of contract and a possible candidate to
rejoin Sousa at Leicester.
Arsenal youngster Jay Simpson has also been linked with a move to
City.
On the way out
Robbie Neilson could be on the way out. The former Hearts defender
joined Leicester from Hearts last season and never managed to win a
place in the team. There are rumours that a Norwegian club has made
inquires about the player.
Nobby Solano will join Hull and the Peru international will be a new
so called "old star" that makes a few appearances and dissapear from
Leicester. Collymore, Keown, Cunningham and Freund will welcome
Solano in their famous club.
Steve Howard, Matt Oakley and Nicky Adams are all players who have
been linked with other clubs. Howard with Cardiff and Oakley with
Peterborough. Adams looked close to a move to Brentford but would
like to make a last impression on Paulo Sousa and hope for a new
lease of life.
Injury report
Alexandar Tunchev is reported to still have a problem with his knee.
The 29 year international looks certain to miss a number of months
of the new season.
Former foxes on the run
Radostin Kishishev is back in England and turned out for Brighton in
a friendly. He will try to find a new club after leaving Bulgarian
club Litex Lovec.
Joe Mattock could be loaned out to Ipswich. Roy Keane is eager to
sign up the former fox and England U.21 international. Neil Lennon
who recently was appointed manager at Celtic has brought another
former fox to Parkhead, Garry Parker is the one.
Kit manufacturer
Burrda will be City's kit manufacturer for the next three seasons.
We will also add a new all yellow kit to the the black and blue. Who
